Hopewood Handmade Willow Log Basket | Natural

Sturdy log basket handwoven from willow by Sarah Loughlin, founder of Hopewood Baskets in the Wyre Forest area of Worcestershire. With a contrasting pattern that spirals up the basket to the handles. The basketry willow is soaked to make it pliable for up to a fortnight, then taken out of the soaking tank to be ‘mellowed’ overnight, which involves wrapping the willow in a damp cloth to allow the water to soak into the inner core of the rods.
